And the cops in Canada do not carry sidearms?

Not being a dick, just a question. I have a friend with literally, seriously 2000 weapons. He has 400K in his collection, built a bunker as well. H has a .50 set in every direction of his property.

It's a shame that the Congress and President with the aid of the courts have made it so that only "doctors and attorneys" can afford these firearms...

Shooting form. How does it work?

To Overtaker

I'm curious about what actions of the White House and Congress you're referring to. It's my understanding that supply and demand dictate the price of full-auto weapons.

Supply and demand affect every price. But specifically to machine guns, since 1986, no new machine guns for private citizens have been allowed to be imported. So all the transferable machine guns available for sale are pre-86 guns. Anything newer is a dealer sample or for mil/LE. That's why a pre-86 MP5 is SUPER expensive. A lot of newer-style guns are created with full-auto sears from pre-86 guns - that's the workaround.

OK Chris, it's time to ask.

You made some cryptic post about how owning a machine gun gives ATF free reign to come into your house at any time, and that just owning suppressors and SBR's do not, what do you mean?

No - any NFA firearm (full-auto, suppressed, SBR, etc.) gives the BATFE permission to inspect your safe with the weapons. They say it's to ensure that they are in your possession and not illegally transferred. It's the same deal with having an FFL. You give up some rights to own certain guns/licenses. We were inspected once, but it was a friendly, call-ahead type thing. I suspect they could knock at 3am, but I doubt they'd do it unless they thought you were dirty.
