H&K manual recommends cleaning the P30 .40 S&W every 1000 rounds.
I'm good with half that.
My .50 cal muzzle loader .. after every outing, but it's such a kick to shoot.
Don't shoot my rifles too much, they probably would benefit from a good cleaning, despite being stored in a fairly stable environment.
Shotguns .. after killing a box of skeet
