Awesome story.

Came across this, and it's definitely worth a read.

Short version goes like this: Guy purchases early 1911 from an auction house. Turns out it belongs to a Medal of Honor winning Marine, and had been stolen while on display in the 70s. Said Guy returns the pistol. Said Marine sends back another early 1911 owned by his friend, a MoH winning sailor who survived Pearl Harbor.

Sometimes, people can be truly awesome.

Cool story bro!

Couldn't resist. It's always nice to hear someone returning a valuable and emotional item like that. Rather then keeping it.

Great read. Kudos to him for all the work to track down the owner, and then to return it, no questions asked, to him.
