This works for just about every alter-reality.
Even ones where people can stop time, or teleport.
A long enough rifle, from far enough away can really cause havoc. The target is hit before the report is heard...

Nah. Nuke a primitive society and it just gets chalked up to an angry god. Go in with chainsaws and shotguns, and they'll remember you.
I prefer the up-close and personal approach anyway.
