Well, we pulled the trigger!

I will certainly post up shop pics once we get it up and running. As for the lines, that is sort of up in the air. We cant really talk with the mfg'rs until we have our FFL. Until that point, they wont even discuss.
But black rifles, shotguns (home defense, 3xgun, combat types) and handguns of all sorts. Definately, FHN, LWRC, Stag, ect. We will try and carry a large range of types, but we arent trying to be your typical "gun store".
No hunting really at all, since we will more dedicated to the competition and black rifle crowd.
I can absolute say no "mac-10" or gangland style weapons will ever be sold. That is not the crowd we are targeting.

My reasoning behind this... I was at a gun shop, picking up my Sig and I watched two kids, 19-21 y/o.
THey looked at and touched every rifle, including ones up to 3K. (they had, finally admitted, no more than 400 bucks to spend).
The sales guy, was talking to them like they were in the ghetto, ready to do a drive by. He tried to sell them on a mac-10 lookalike with a phony silencer. He even held it for them like he was in scarface or something.
I watched that entire thing while waiting. I said to my wife, never, in a million years, will I stock that or hire someone that would act like he was in a gang movie to sell a gun. Not our image, not my thing.
Edit. I know it sounds elitist or something, but I never want to see a news crew outside my building.

I think not selling hunting rifles will drastically affect sales. Not every cat off the street that walks in is going to want a 20" .308 heavy barrel Rem 700 or $2k LWRC's. I understand you won't be a hunting store but I would think that hunting rifles would be a huge help in getting people through the doors. Just my $0.02

Besides, Id rather sell them a .308 20" platform or similar, and they can "dual purpose it".
