I didnt spend a lot of time with them, just while they were writing up my Sig, but the ACR didnt seem as bulky to me. Both were really nice, but again, both were 2700 give or take.

I used to think the SCAR was bulky (I hated the looks), but once I handled it, I realized everything was for a specific function. I'm a huge admirer of function over form, so I quickly "appreciated" the looks. Now if I can just find a short barrel...

Hey Chris!!!!!, its Berk. Long time no speak bud. I've got a couple Sigs as well. Got a 226 Blackwater TAC ops and my conceal carry is a 229 Elite Dark. I've been eyeing up the SCARs. Really want a 17S but due to limitations of ammo and mags, feel like the 16S might be the way to go. What dealer did you get the SCAR from? You still out here in VA? Any thoughts on the Sig556?

Oh, and you're an orospu!!! Hahahaha.

I got it from Patrick at Virginia Arms. They're not always the cheapest, but the service is really good and they have a good selection. IIRC, they had both black and dark earth SCARs in both calibers. It's a great gun - just waiting to put optics on it.

I haven't had any experience with the 556. The 552 was an awesome gun, but it's pretty much apples/oranges, since I believe the 556 is made in the US and the 552 was Swiss-made. It looks nice and there are a couple of threads here about the 556. People seem to like it.
