i read Car and Driver editorial about Tazing last month and made me furious about the state of affairs with police departments today. soon as i return from deployment, i will probably go buy 300 rounds of 9mm, see if i don't get tazed on my way back from the store

I believe the laws around weapons are becoming a little more strict especially following the events like VT (which was rather impactful in the Virginia area here), I think it's good that they are doing a little investigation.....I'm sure the store wouldn't give out info if they didn't have to give out info....It's kind of like credit card protection.....questionable charges make the card declined at times, then you call, they review your last several charges then if everything is valid, the card is turned back on....I have it and I am thankful for it.....is it a hassle sometimes or embarassing/frustrating, yes, but let me tell you I was very happy to have this when there were unauthorized charges being made for $500 cash cards that my Card Company caught without my knowledge and did not hold me responsible to pay......So saying that, sorry that your friend was hassled a little bit, but they were just checking in......As long as they did not take it too far, it's good. I'm sure your friend is legit, but imagine the people who may not be (like the VT shooter)......

Virginia allows unlicensed open carry of a handgun that has a capacity of twenty rounds or less, unthreaded barrel and no collapsible stock. (Most handguns fall under this category). Open carry is defined as the gun's true nature is not "hidden from common observation" (wording per VA State Police website).

Just a thought...
