I'm considering a slightly used Mossberg 88 12 ga that a co-worker is selling for $130.

It has a plug, holds three and shoots 2 1/2, 3 1/4 and 3 1/2 shells.

I would want to get it to the same specs as this one (pic below). Can I do these mods myself or should I expect to pay a 'smith to do the work?



Comparing the price of the gunbroker listing, I would be saving between $50-$100 on the slightly used piece from my co-worker. I'd rather spend that on a newbie.

Thoughts? Opinions?
