It just seems a little weird the guy that got shot had a gun in his hands and got shot once and ended up being able to flee. You would think if he wanted to hurt someone he woulda returned fire even after being hit.

In Ohio we have Castle Doctrine, and it applies to the hotel room you are staying in. So the 70 year old lady should be 100% protected from legal prosecution, especially considering the details of this one. Of course nothing in law is that straight forward, so it will be interesting to see if there are any snags when it goes to the courts.
