Looking to Get a .22LR plinker
I am looking at some .22lr handguns (just waiting for the permit, damn NJ laws). So far I have looked at the Walther p22, Sig Mosquito, Ruger MKII/III and the 22/45, S&W 22a., and the Browning Buckmark Camper or standard.
I've checked the net for a little while and so far, most people are at odds over the SIG and Walther, some love them some hate them. The Browning gets a few negative remarks but all together pretty positive. The Ruger is by far the only one without any negative reviews, in fact it was the most recommended. Since I would probably choose it for target shooting I am leaning in that direction. I would love to look into getting a Sig Trailside, but they are expensive and hard to find. I checked gunbroker.com and they have a few but I have to wait for my permit, then get the FFL transfer ok'ed before I can even bid.
Any target shooters out there with recommendations?

I don't understand the point of getting an expensive .22 handgun. Every .22 in our house (both rifles and handguns) is a Ruger, and they all have worked flawlessly.
Consider a Walther PPK .380 though, seriously. If you ever have to use the thing, you might be happy you did. Not that getting shot with a .22 would feel good . . .

I also like the 22/45 but I dont like how thin the grip is, it is much thinner than a real 1911 grip in my or atleast it felt like it was. I think some sort of rubber wraps would be needed if you have man hands.
