It's true. The crazy part is that's the minimum (high expert) to go to sniper school in the Marines. It's super competitive. You need a perfect PT score, high expert rifle, and high ASVAB scores. If you meet a Marine scout/sniper, then you've met a true professional. Every special operator I know has tons of respect for Marine S/S guys.

Same with Army Sniper and marksmanship programs. Minimum score of 36 out of 40, perfect PT, ASVAB blah blah.
