I think the time has come, Cali gun purchasing questions...

Well, after growing up shooting guns with friends, and having a roommate that was an absolute gun freak, I think its time for me to purchase my first. (The wifey just told me she thinks it would be a good idea, should I be worried) I read the first hand-gun thread but I'm more worried about what its going to take to get licensed and buy a gun here in Cali. Any hints on starting the process? I know in Boston it wasn't easy and figure its comparable here. Any advice?

I'll be in Utah a couple of times over the holidays, if that makes things easier.

I think you should get an OLL evil black rifle while you still can.

And most defnitely a Glock before the microstamping law go into effect and Glock stops selling to civilians in 2010.

Go sign up on calguns.net because there are a lot of CA crazy gun laws that you have to know, like you can't get ammo shipped to the city of LA.

But ask away, we are here to help.

I read the word "think" three times, and the word "worried" twice... you don't sound so sure; either way is fine, whether you purchase or not. I'm just saying, your not going out to buy a gallon of milk. I know this was not what you asked, just my observation.

I have yet to hear the word "worried" about a 10mm 1/4" drive socket

Lighten' up, Francis. His "worried" comment was made in jest.

And I have yet to hear a reasonable gun owner who was 'worried' about his guns.
