My Pagani Huayra: from Build to Delivery
#51
It doesn't matter till they are street legal. Till then it's all talk. I wish them the best. I think they make some very interesting cars and if they ever become fully street legal I will give them a closer look. Until they have a fully street legal car, I don't consider Koenigsegg a real car.
So in fact Koenigsegg beat Pagani to the U.S. market by six years. I suppose then you might consider a Koenigsegg a real car, no?

Thank you!

I look forward to sharing the final product with you! Thank you!

The Koenigsegg CCX series were U.S. legal for MY2008, there were 12 examples built, there are 11 currently stateside. The Agera was certified for MY2013, two U.S. examples were built, your friend's is the one which remained here.

A customer can order a street legal Pagani Huayra right now, and until the same can be said for Koenigsegg they are not on my radar. I am not a fan of the CCX - neither is Koenigsegg! They will tell you that the Agera is a massive improvement. The Agera is the car that would be worth consideration but it isn't legal.
I appreciate and respect your passion for their cars! Maybe one day I will share your enthusiasm. For me to get on board they need to be legal to be real to me.
Thank you!

LOTS of cars have had smart airbag exemptions, among them Bugatti, Lotus, Ferrari, and yes even Lamborghini, for the Murcielago.

Thank you for sharing this with everyone. You definitely deserve another very special car and you have great choice in cars

Hope all continues to go smoothly.

Again, for the last time, I have no interest in any Koenigsegg until they have passed all testing and are fully street legal in the USA. Smart airbags are important to me.

Thank you! There could another US delivery before mine but I doubt it. It is more likely that another Huayra will ship at the same time. If the car you posted is destined for the US it looks as though it should arrive before mine. I hope it is coming here! It looks great!
The experience has been amazing. Everyone at Pagani has been very helpful - they've done everything possible to find solutions to all of my crazy requests! They're very nice people and it's an honor to get to know and work with them on my dream. I will post more specific examples after the car comes in. It will also be easier to get into details when I am writing from a computer instead of thumb typing on an iPhone like I am now.
Thanks Again!!
I am not planning on getting a Koenigsegg. I am very impressed by the One:1 and the recent Agera's that I've seen. Unfortunately, they are not street legal in the USA. Hopefully my friend David will take me for a spin in his sometime - it looks like a beautiful car.
I apologize! You are correct! In fact, I met some car guys from Chile a few nights ago. The first thing I said was, "you guys have the coolest car over there.." And one guy cut me off and said, "Yes, the 760RS." We both laughed. They were every nice people and they have a car spotting website in Chile. I was happy to hear that the owner of the 760RS is very friendly! Now, I want to take my vacation in Chile! Thank You!
P.S. My Huayra doesn't have a special wing or custom exterior body work and it won't have 850hp. It is not that rumored Nurburgring edition that I've been reading about either.
I hope many more come here so there is the possibility that I can get the treat of randomly seeing one out!
Thank you, Gabriele! It's great to see you on here.
Davide is a great guy! I can't wait to share the the car with everyone! It won't look like a special edition on the exterior but it does have a few unique features.
I wish I could make Vanishing Point this year. Since my car hasn't been delivered yet, putting that many miles on it would make it a used car and could cause issues when it is imported to the USA. I hope to attend every year from here out.
Thank You!
Thank you!
Thank You! It is very impressive. They are writing history!
That was my mistake! I know there are a few Zondas and Huayras in Argentina - more than the USA. So, you've got a better chance of seeing the unicorn than we do!
Wow! That sounds like quite the task but well worth it! You should start that thread on here! I not familiar with the site you speak of. Best of Luck and Thank You!!!
Thank You! I hope you enjoyed your visit to the factory. I need to get back there!
Thanks Simon! Great to hear from you! Yes, we need to plan something. I hope all is well!
As far as details go - I would rather let the car do the talking. Besides, it is less than two months away at this point!
Thank You!

Hope you will not make us wait much...But you are infomed in one of threads above - that there are no special custom body-work and no performance upgrade, compare to "basic" Huayra ? What's a "custom" - here in what intrigue .....................

Kris, you are right - it's really negligible time rested to wait, so - will keep patience
