Well damn I guess I was wrong, Farah said himself when he drove the car on Tuned that it was considered a tuner and not a production car, and that its registered as a Lotus.

Not that I doubt what you said, because I don't and I'm not arguing your point....but I hate Matt Farah hahaha. His whining bothers me. When he was on SuperSpeeders (the youtube videos and dvds where all they did was run from cops) he always was whiney with the cops and it bothered me. Like come on, you are intentionally running and speeding and your a baby about it. The other guy (rob) just used to laugh and make crazy BS up. Very entertaining videos those were. But something about Farah...idk.

You got it right. Venoms may be produced in series, but they carry Lotus VINs and are no more a "production car" than is a UGR Gallardo (A few of which I think would get similar numbers). No matter how much work they've done to this car, it's still a tuner car to me, and in the eyes of any DMV.

If we're going to open the production car records to the tuners, then the Super Sport has already been topped, if I'm not mistaken. I would think Guiness would partake in a bit more due diligence, but these days their record book seems to be more about entertainment anyway.

So in that regard the Venom GT should not take away any records from the Agera R, as it is not a production car. Kinda makes me mad!

Yea I think you're right though, Guiness doesn't seem to care what they put in now-a-days.

You think the Agera R could make up that 1 second in braking back to zero?

14.18 seconds upwind compared to 14.53 from the Agera. Also seemed like the Venom had a much harder launch compared to the Agera. Not talking bad about either cars but I think they might be a lot closer than people are making them out to be. Id like to see them in the same place at once, then have some results.

I recall seeing the Venom GT, chassis number 01, for the first time in person at December 2010 Houston Coffee & Cars when Mr. Hennessey brought the vehicle out for the first time. I was sure everybody had doubts when they took the cover off the car and saw it, but fast forward two years later and it has gained a ton of momentum and has become an absolutely animal.

FYI, the Venom GT ran 0-200 mph in 14.5 sec. The full story and video will be out soon.
