Dear supercar owners,

Probably some of you had seen this same question posted by me in the ferrari or lambo thread but i didnt get much replies. Hope some of you here can clarified it for me

Here is the question, do you guys downshift to 1st gear in your ferrari, maserati or lambo? I test drove my fren's 430 and sometime when i downshifted to 1st gear, the car jerks terribly like a bumper car. Therefore i was told i only need to downshift to 2nd gear. Does this occur to 458 italia or FF or any lp560/570/700 or mc stradale?

Also, when i test drove a gallardo and r8, the car jerks a little when i drove from stop in gear 1. Is this normal? Or is the test drive unit not maintained properly? Haha

I don't own any supercars, but I have driven a few. I never downshift into first, heard its bad for the transmission. The only time I ever put a car into first gear is when the car is at a complete stop. But that's me, I baby cars, especially cars I don't own.

 

Dude enough you have this question posted in 3 or 4 different forum sections...

 

You always go to 2nd, never to 1st. 1st gear only when your already stopped. Pretty sure this is ALL cars not just Ferrari/Lambo/Maserati
