Bugatti Veyron by PES Tuning
I was speaking with Tony of PES yesterday who was telling me that he just returned from Canada where he was starting a new project. He's developing a performance package for a customers Veyron that will include modifying the two ECU's, replacing the four turbochargers with dual ball bearing units and I believe he's modifying the exhaust. All said and done the car should have around 1500hp.
Will keep you posted.

thats absurd, if you bought the car than you can do whatever the hell you want to it

I think it's more of the service and all that stuff that you won't get if you change anything with the car. Seen a few mods here and there so I guess it is possible.
Sounds pretty insane to me but looking forward to hear more about this!

For what I was told by a veyron owner, he couldn't even sell the car if he wanted to without having Bugatti checking out the potential buyer first. If Bugatti didn't like the buyer or his plans with it they have the right to stop the deal and take the car themselves.
On top of that, they have 24-7 insight in engine data and condition of tires and stuff via Satellite.
I think that would make tuning without Bugatti knowing and/or approving it impossible?
Edit: there is only one tuner: mansory that was allowed to tune the car in cooperation with bugatti. But they only added 100hp on top of the 1001.

Mansory has already tuned 2 veyrons. This nonsense that you sign a contract agreeing not to modify is bs. It's a stupid Internet rumor. The reason owners don't is because it's so dam expensive if you blow a motor. And mansory didn't work in cooperation with Bugatti.

i would not be too sure about that!! even at ferrari there isa contract you have to sign - at least here in germany - when you order a new one. when my dad ordered his 430 spider he had to sign a contract that he was not allowed to sell it within the first 6 months. if he did so, he had to pay 20 000 euros to ferrari. true story, i read the contract myself!

I can understand the skepticism, but I do know that Tony was data logging quite a bit of information from the car in preparation of developing the software.
The car currently sits in the following state, but will be broken down shortly and re-finished with Black Chrome replacing the red and carbon fiber elsewhere. While the car is being re-finished the turbochargers will be removed at that time as well.
I will keep you posted on any and all developments.....
