2011 Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Super Sport Test by Road & Track [VIDEO]

Meh you can't really say that when it has 4 turbochargers + 16 cylinders + these days technology. And it only beat the ultimate McLaren F1 by 10mph or so with the first installment and something like 30mph with the final installment. Dont get me wrong it is a amazing car but just doesn't compare to the McLaren. That's a car in a league of it's own

Vive la Veyron!!!

Yeh but let's talk "naturally aspirated"
The McLaren is a better car hands down. Were I'm trying to get at is with an extra 4 cylinders and 4 turbos and improved technology. The top speed exceeded by no more than 40mph. See the comparison ?
McLaren is the greatest car ever built. That's for sure

Nah I understand that. But your missing that the Veyron was released to be the quickest car in the world hence the top speed aswell. So no matter what way you look at it - it comes back down to speed and being the quickest. No engineering point of view

I'm sure if Bugatti wanted to they would've made a bonkers N/A V12 that could beat the F1 - but this way they were setting new limits to dare others to pass them...
Also, the W16 engine is very unique - not another overpriced V12 supercar that you can argue that the F1 is equal to today...
