Pagani Huayra Presentation in Milan
#51
I can't wait to see new variations of this one that come out. I think once a wing is added and some more aggressive bits it will grow on me more. The interior, especially the shifter is just out of this world. Pagani will always be on top for me because of all the little details that go into it. It's a rolling piece of art, no matter how bad the front end is.
Wings only tend to be added to car for visual appeal
The Countach being a classic case in point, it actually slowed the car down and produced lift, or to improve the down force on a car that is lacking it.If they build a R version then yes a wing may be necessary but it is not required on the road car and would just smack of lazy design

Kind of answered your own thoughts right there. I don't think anyone is questioning the aero besides from an aesthetic stand point right now.

Yeah, maybe your right. I just dont feel the Huayra needs the embellishment at this time. I really like its clean lines as it stands.

Hey Marchettino will the red Huayra be in Geneva in a few days? Also did you managed to take pics of Cinque Roadster 2/5???
Also i think a rear wing on the Huayra wont look right, they should keep it for a future hardcore edition (Like the Cinque for the Zonda)

I don't remember, he said about a red car but i don't know if it's about a red Huayra or that Cinque. I haven't seen any red Huayra in the factory, there was a red car on construction but i don't know what was that, the two i have seen were the really 1st Huayra made (the one at the Pirelli debut) and the Prototype 4. The red Cinque was awesome, unfortunately i have no pics because nobody is allowed to take pics in the production area. He said that he will bring 2 cars for Geneva, tomorrow i'll ask and i'll let you know about that red car. If anybody is going to Geneva, Horacio said that he will be there the 1st week (also on press days). Yes he said that in the future they will make for sure some special editions of the Huayra. Can't wait to see it how fast is it at the Nurburgring! Definitely a day i will never forget, it has been awesome to see the 1st Huayra ever made, but it's even more if it's Horacio himself showing and talking to you about the car!!

Hi, reading Top Gear Magazine February 2011, they specify the exact numbers:
6.0 V12 AMG engine producing 730bhp and 811lb ft of torque.
The weight is 1350kg (and not pounds as I think you mentioned).
It is to be noted that the Huayra is lighter than the 911GT2RS but with more than 1.5 times the torque. The torque-to-weight ratio is the same as the Veyron's. The Veyron SS, that is.
