Thanks for the Top Gear article, meanwhile!
I will sort that out for you

Still don't like it. The catfish grill, the way the rear glass goes in the body, the body over the tailpipes, the rear diffuser-bumper union, the vent behind the front wheels. And altogether it is worse.
I do say, that Huayra with the Zonda R and Zonda Cinque parts looks decent. Fairly good actually. So maybe there is some potential for this car.
I do love the shifter though.

Thank you so much for the article!

I was sceptical about the Huayra at first, but I'm complete sold now. This is, I think, the most amazing car ever.

A very interesting part of the article is what the test driver, Davide Testi (good name for the job, by the way), says. He states that initially the power delivery was "too aggressive (as in the SL65 Black), but AMG has fitted new internals, new heads, new ECU, new intercoolers and actually smaller new turbos. The result is, according to him, dramatically improved throttle response and a car which is "much, much quicker than a Zonda" and "much more friendly at the limits as the engine and gearbox are both lighter and shorter, as well as sitting lower in the chassis." There is, however, now more intake and turbo than exhaust noise, but that can be just as great. Listen to this, for example:

The Huayra is not crap, but comparing to the Zonda this is a big disappointment.
The Zonda came out of freaking NOWHERE and won over basically every car enthousiast in the world. Hardly ever has anything similar happened before. It revolutionized how we define exotics and super cars.
The Huayra does nowhere near live up to the expectations I had on a successor to the mighty Zonda.
