Oic. U are pointing out that it isn't his specific car. A lot of people on TS claim or list cars that are family. Kinda weird but either way I am sure he is able to speak about the car as he has more personal experience with it than 99.9% of the planet.

They are amazing pieces of engineering. I love that they build their own engines - something very few small volume manufacturers even attempt. And if I recall correctly, last I had heard, they had never had an engine failure. Remarkable when you consider the power output of their engines.

Keep us posted on your search. I'm a big fan of Koenigsegg, and would be jealous, but would love to hear about it.
Agreed, I could have been a bit more specific.

Really looking for specific information on running/maintenance costs, reliability, and real world useability as any car I buy I want to be able to use on a regular basis. Not a fan of garage queens.

In terms of the engine. Believe the 1st two K..eggs used engines which were built off a Ford block. Starting with the CCX it is a full K..egg engine.

Also can't answer questions, but I did visit the Koenigsegg factory last year and was blown away by the attention to detail. Great people with real pride in their work.

Few pics to drool over..

36 high-res photos on my site: Koenigsegg CCX Photoshoot

Doing an indicated 270kmh in this photo, hard to believe when just seconds earlier I was putting my seat belt on
