That's what I like to hear, very cool that he uses the F40 for everything it is designed for, and what it is not. Ballsy, but that is what it takes to have the passion for it all!+1

Given the outstanding weather today, the great green Egg got the nod, and was given a good run around the countryside. With the roof off, it is the perfect sunny day car. Despite not having moved in close to a month, it fired right up and settled into its burbly idle. Muscle memory on clutch bite point and gearbox slotting came back immediately. In fact each time I drive the Egg, the clutch and gearbox seem to improve. After a run around the neighborhood to warm everything up, headed down towards the "Tif" straight. Not sure I will ever quite get used to the manic violence of what happens after you plant your right foot. There is a moment of normalacy as the Egg starts to accelerate and the rear wheels begin to really bite. Very shortly thereafter, it just launches itself forward and the scenery simply blurs. Managing all the power is not for the timid but the car is beautifully engineered to do exactly that. Driving the Egg well really is a learned skill and quite rewarding. It is always an event when the Egg hits the road.

The Great Green K'egg got the call for the run last Sunday. It was close between the K'egg and the F50 but as this is the K'egg's first Christmas here it got the call (top off of course). Weather was OK. Grey, overcast, but not too cold and at least not raining. The K'egg did not seem that excited to be woken from its slumber to be dragged out in the cold. After a grumpy few minutes it settled into a quiet idle and warmed right up. As usual the gearbox was very stiff until everything warmed up properly. Roads were mostly clear so once everything was warmed up we had a very good run around for about forty five minutes. The K'egg is such a different car to drive form the others. Steering really is designed for very high speed running and has the turning circle of an oil tanker. However when moving quickly, it does make the car very easy to place on the road and feedback is excellent. Put your right foot down and it just flies. You do really need to be careful, planning how and when you get the supercharger kicking in hard. It will just throw you at the horizon. Brakes are very good (massive AP racing brakes) especially once you get a bit of warmth in them. Like any supercar, learning the flow between the three pedals, steering wheel, and gearbox is key. Today it all flowed realy nicely. Overall, a good run out on a great day.
