I think I'd take the 700k Porsche 918 instead.

Not quite ready to hop on the hatred bandwagon just yet, but I would still prefer a Pagani a million times over any Egg.

A little known fact that Koenigsegg don't like to admit is that the V8 used in the CCX is heavily based on the Ford 4.6 liter modular motor. So much so that valve covers and some other parts are interchangeable between the two.

I don't hate it, but like others who have posted in this thread, don't really "get" all the hoopla surrounding it either.

Sorry for my bad english. The engine is a completely independent koenigsegg engine, since 2006.
In him we find not a single component of more Ford This statement made me Mr koenigsegg 2006 compared to ....... you have gradually replaced the Ford parts through their own!

jsturn,

I think we are saying the same thing. Before 2006, the CC8 and CC8S used Ford engines with Koenigsegg internals and other parts. Now the engines are all built for Koenigsegg to their spcifications by a 3rd party. However, the architecture/design is still based on that of the Ford engine.

The launch car looks too ricer for me. The CCXR looks better IMO.
