I know what you mean, Ridgback. However, I'm worried that once Zonda production is officially over, the C9 will be a bit of a disappointment by comparison. The bar was set so high by the Zonda that it'll be tough for the C9 to be any faster and we can almost be certain that it'll be less involving to drive. I just hope it looks as cool as the Zonda does.

Kinda makes me sad though.

 

I think these one-offs just keep adding to the Zonda's resume, making it even more special. It's important to keep in mind that there are still only around 110 of them in existence. In contrast, there are 400 Enzos, 400 F50s, 1300 F40s and Carrera GTs driving around. There are as many McLaren F1s as there are Zondas, so the car still is very exclusive.

 

1300 CGTs? I thought that number was substantially lower now... Like, cut in half?

 

According to German Wikipedia, of the 1500 CGTs intended, 1288 were actually built, 1270 delivered to customers. Or do you mean that a lot of them have crashed?

 

Actually, from what I heard, Porsche planned to build 1250 CGTs but there was so much demand they built another year's worth of production but kept it hush-hush. That's how Jabir got his special pastel yellow car, iirc.

I'm not ready to see the zonda disapear, i enjoy every new LE and really hope the new factory to produce C9 and they keep the historical site to produce artisan's zonda LE.
