What makes the MP4-12C even more desirable.

On top of the tech, I have to say that my experience with McLaren so far has been outstanding. They have an awesome car configurator. I e-mailed my interest, and the General Manager of the dealership nearest has called me several times, and we have spoken at length. He is obviously a car guy, had driven the MP4-12C on the track as well as the road, and was very unpretentious and down to earth. A few days later I got a call from a guy at the factory in England, who just called to introduce himself, and offer to answer any questions.
I have been very impressed by their low pressure but thorough approach. I have owned 5 mid-engine Ferraris before (including a couple of keepers I should have never sold!), and was leaning heavily toward a 458. But I reserved a spot for a McLaren and suspect I will place an order when the time comes.
I always wanted an F1, but they have risen in price completely out of my reach. I'm very impressed with the company and their technology. I'm anxious to see it in person. Two weeks from tomorrow!

^^ I went with Supernova silver, lightweight wheels with performance tires, carbon ceramic brakes, carbon mirrors, Alcantara interior, Meridien sound system, lightwieght exhaust, heated power seats, stealth package. That's all I can remember from the top of my head.
It was like configuring a Porsche online, in that I'm sure you could increase the cost of the car by 50% if you started checking boxes. A lot of the carbon pieces and the F1 telemetry system were tempting, but I'll wait until the price list comes out before I make those decisions!

Quoted from the article;
Even though it's hard to see now, I can tell you from a test-sit in a full-bodied example that the monocoque provides plenty of space for occupants that stand well over 6 feet tall. In fact, McLaren tells me that 6-foot 7-inches was the upper end of their design envelope.
A supercar I can actually fit in
