Looks great, Ben! Any reason for getting the last of the current generation over what you had? Were there that many improvements over the last year or so since you first got your green one?

Putting it simply, my time with the green car was cut short due to an unfortunate accident. I wish to have another shot at the current generation car before I can take a step up to the Castriota car. And yes, the improvements from car to car are/were significant.

When will you be taking delivery?

I saw the pics of it after it was wrecked.. were you driving, and were you / the driver ok? I hope so, it looked bad...

I have to congragulate you on staying commited to SSC and ordering another car, i love the rare and unusual stuff and admire the people enthusiastic enough and brave enough to take a punt on the unusuall and out of the ordinary.
I met a guy on sunday who runs an XJR15 on the road! thats the kind of owner i admire like yourself, someone who has the die hard enthusiasm to run something other than a Lamborghini or Ferrari like everyone else does.
Dont get me wrong Lambos and Ferraris are spectacular, but i just LOVE the rare stuff. I myself have been lucky enough to get a ride in a Cizeta V16T.
Any way good stuff, keep enjoying your cars and let us see pics when you take delivery of the replacement SSC!!

Thank you for the compliments. There really is no way for me to convey my excitement surrounding the SSC product and brand, both "old" and new. To experience the problem free mileage that I did behind the wheel of (at the time) the world's fastest production supercar was not only an exhilarating experience but a true testament to the product that the SSC team has produced in a very short period of time.
I very much look forward to what the future brings for this company. The fact that is designed, engineered, and manufactured in America puts and even bigger
on my face.

I guess that would make your new car doubly significant as not only the last of the first generation cars, but quite possibly the only 2011 SSC? When do you hope to take delivery?
