I hope this doesn't come off as a stupid question, but is this the final production version that we will see on the road. Reason why I ask is it looks version much as a concept rather than a road version.

This is indeed the production version. A great part about SSC is there are only a few decision makers and with this design is was just Jerod and Jason. This design won't get watered down at all, this is what you'll be seeing on the road.

@Turboholic
What about the top and bottom?

That's awesome. As a designer, I know that the committee has no business in the process. I do want to ask about wind tunnel time though.. Has the aero program been done and this is the final or is the work going to be between now and the running proto's? Might this change things? The spoiler shape, vent holes and their locations.. etc.

I'm confused man, at first I thought you were just being sarcastic at my expense..which I'm happy to play along with. But again with the "fanboy" comment

Two fold... 1) they catch the air coming off the flying buttress and keep the rear fender planted. 2) when the rear center spoiler comes up on braking, you essentially have an air "anchor" with the two wings acting as side walls and the center spoiler acting as a center wall. That is my understanding at least.

Okay, I hadn't read the article yet because I was waiting to actually get the magazine, but that won't get to the U.S. for a while? So I read the scan...

Did I miss it, or has no one here yet mentioned that the new engine is a DOHC design? So Shelby has now engineered his very own DOHC cylinder heads as well?
