Also expect this car to be lighter than normal Veyron coupe. It will unmistakably a Veyron, but few great details are set to amaze both inside and outside.

 

Dont put much hope on the weight difference is not that much.. and totally different than the Veyron look.. but you can notice its a Veyron..

 

I know for sure that Veyron Supersport is coming and it is not rumor this time, but here is confirmation by Cars UK.

Bugatti Veyron SuperSport Confirmed

It’s been confirmed that Bugatti are to build the Bugatti Veyron SuperSport. Just 30 being built with 1200 horses on tap, 300kg lighter and €1,650,000 (+tax) to buy.

We’ve been here before with rumours of a lighter and more powerful Bugatti Veyron. In fact the rumours have been around almost as long as the Veyron itself. And they resurface at regular intervals. So when we saw the rumours earlier this week we thought it was probably more of the same – a slow news day for someone so ‘Let’s run a Veyron Story’. And then we got a phone call.

“Have you heard about the new 1200bhp Veyron Supersport?” said the familiar voice. “It’s just the same old rumour, sunshine” we retorted. “Then why am I about to transfer €400k to Bugatti?” came the reply. So it’s not a rumour – it’s real.

There are going to be 30 Bugatti Veyron SuperSport. They will shed in the region of 300kg with liberal use of carbon fibre, get 1200 horses and each will cost their owners €1,650,000. There are exterior styling changes but Bugatti aren’t sending out photos – even to buyers – at this stage.

Bugatti were hoping to have the Veyron Supersport ready for Goodwood this year, but that’s not going to happen. The aim now is to show the new Veyron at Pebble Beach in August. But Bugatti aren’t the best in the world at keeping to delivery dates so it could even take until Paris before the world sees the SuperSport.

The Veyron SuperSport will be the last iteration of the Veyron. Probably.

I completely agree with you. Technology wise and performance, the Veyron is amazing, but every where else, it simply doesn't doesn't cut it.

 

This isn't quite right

There are 25 Supersports and then 5 others which have a different name

The car looks slightly different - the front is more agressive and the engine is now partly covered

The wheels have also got a new design
The interior looks a lot more like a sports car with lots of CF

 

Thanks for update trax, information have been changed because from the beginning there were 30 Supersport Veyrons. The price vary from EUR 1.65M to 1.95M, this means that there will be some über-custom cars, may be they will feature their own names.

Also according to the new info the launch is expected to happen in July and the public debut seems to happen at Pebble Beach. The only thing I am not sure about is weight decrease, rumored number of 300 kg less seems hard to achieve, but I really hope. And yes, expect different exterior style and sportier interior, the most amazing part of exterior seems to be back of the car.
