Anyone here planning to buy a Lexus LFA???

Anyone here planning to buy an LFA??? If so, how did you qualify and where are you in production order?

I'm posting this because I'm doubting all the hype and I can't seem to find actual straight answers concerning hard sales. According to some, all cars are spoken for, yet I can't find threads on and of the boards of actual buyers. Anyone here?

I would not buy it, there are so many amazing supercars to choose from at this price tag. To my mind this is same "everything is spoken for and you should fight to get on the list for next five years" as Aston loves to create, just remember the " 5 year long waiting list" for DBS, which totally disappeared in one year, when heavily discounted cars appeared on the market. Than it was One-77 with few real money transactions and lots of expression of interest, which almost outruned production numbers. I guess Lexus went same way and trying to creat big agiotage with fake "everything is spoken for" reports.

Yea, I've asked the same question on several sites and still NOBODY has responded saying they are stepping up to buy one. I'm sure they will sell a few, but seriously, nobody is posting anywhere.

Because it is not aimed towards enthusiasts.

Go to TeamPoseur.com and they will all be bragging how Lexus selected them to buy the damn thing.

I even went to the Lexus forum and while a lot defend the car and believe the numbers, nobody posted that they were in line for one. They claim that all cars allocated to the Japanese market are spoken for with names on a waiting list. Hmmm. I guess I still have my doubts that when it comes down to writing the checks, the waiting list disappear.

I'll consider one when they've hit $125k two years after their debut.

Why would anybody on the Lexus board buy one?

Good point but I have no idea where to find the supposed buyers. I've posted on a lot of forums and still nobody has stepped forward. You'd think with only 150 or so coming to the US, there would be some comment somewhere.

I agree, somebody is on the list. It is just such an anti-climatic car for Lexus, how much does the most pimp out 460 go for? Buyers of Lexus' are looking for a cushy ride not for a sports car.
