Spyker C8 Aileron Party @CCC NYC - & am Driving Session

Had the chance to check out Spykers new C8 Aileron last night at the Classic Car Club in Manhattan. First time I've been that close to one of these cars and I have to say, its absolutly stunning. They had a few of the other models there as well so it was nice to see the entire line-up along with the new one.

And this morning I had the chance to take a few of the models for a spin. Started out in the new C8 Aileron. Very nice car but after that I jumped into the drivers seat of the C8 roadster. What a ****ing car. So raw, so race-car like. No driver aids to save your ass and the sound... I want. Would kill to get one on the track, it felt like an elise on steriods waiting to be unleashed. For those of you that have tracked it... what did you think? I wanted to push it but traffic on the west side hwy wasn't having that, and either was the Spyker rep to my right I'm sure.

Both cars are awesome but the second that Spyker unveiled the Aileron, the original C8 looked dated by comparison, imo. I'm jealous you got to drive one. What'd you think of the exhaust note? I think it's one of the best sounding V8s ever made.

I agree with you on the styling as well, the Aileron is much more refined but once I got in the drivers seat of the swb car.... game over. They worked wonders with that Audi V8. The exhaust not is stunning, especially with no top on the C8 following the Aileron. One of the guys that I was sharing driving duties with had literally just stepped out of an R8 V8 and into the Spyker.... his grin was even wider after the C8 drive.
