Peleton. Thank you for sharing the history of the car, as well as the clarifying the reasons for changing the Gulf livery. Given the circumstances, changing the livery was understandable.
I was under the impression from the first post that the car was changed from Gulf livery to Papaya Orange by a private party, not by the factory as described. IMHO, the traditional orange/light blue Gulf livery is the most iconic in sports car racing history.
