IAA 2009: Melkus RS2000

Im guessing this is the correct area for this one

30years after the last Melkus RS1000 was made in Dresden, they are now following up with the RS2000

25 to be made a year, all hand made
107,500 Euros

how much of it is hand made when it's based off the elise?...looks good though

Wow, that really does look great! I was quite surprised to find out about the Melkus RS1000 and the history behind it. This certainly interests me all over again in a modern version.

An uglier Lotus for 2X the price? The original Melkus was gross and while this is better looking, it's certainly not a stunner.

I really like the colour, the front and the gullwing doors but the back lets it down

The interior is an Elise/Exige with stuff cladded over it!
