My original post in this thread just didn't do it justice, I was literally speechless. When one discusses what they would do in their wildest imagination, these are the exact image that come to mind. I can't fathom having access to such unbelievable machinery. Maybe one day I will be able to drive just one of these thoroughbreds. Mucho rep for this find Alex!!!

Unbelievable collection of cars there!!!

My favorite has to be the Porsche 911 GT1 though.

Erik,

Is there anything worth mentioning about either of the McLaren F1s that were there?

The Gulf GTR is #12R, the FINA longtail is #21R.

Both of them used to belong to Aaron Hsu, but he sold the longtail to Christian Glasel of Germany in early 2007, around the same time Aaron purchased an F1 road car, chassis #069.

Prior to Aaron's ownership, the Gulf GTR belonged to Ray Bellm who had raced it at LeMans in 1996, and it was he who had it converted for road use and registered in the UK. Aaron has owned #12R for close to a decade now I believe, and it has been back and forth from the UK to the USA.

In fact, both these GTRs were in the USA for a while - stored at Highcroft Racing in Danbury, CT. If you fish through the pages on their website you'll find a few images of them being displayed in the showroom of their facility.

Thanks for the info, Erik! It's incredible that you know all of this!

Hopefully you can make it to the Monterey Historics so we can meet up and go F1 hunting together.
