I just don't understand people who try to criticize the Veyron. They all sound like this:
"Sure, it's the fastest, best, most competent, comfortable, well-built car, but I hate it."

Curiously, I love it for all it's faults. Big, overpriced, heavy, overpriced, not the fastest around corners, overpriced, presumably so impossible to insure, you'll be selling your children's organs on the black market, overpriced, completely unneccesary, overpriced - and beautifully engineered. It's car, for the car's own sake. And nothing else. I don't care why people buy them. I just love it.

Yup. Nothing that really makes me drool like a Zonda or F50 does ...

Well as a member of this forum I like to debate the ability to price ratio of certain cars. My opinion on the Veyron is purely hypothetical, as I will never have the chance to own this car. All I was trying to say is that for the money of a Veyron, I would be able to fill a garage with great sports cars that would fit my taste.

Didn't mean to offend any Veyron fans, just wanted to see if any one could give me a convincing reason to like the car. I'll agree its a phenomenal engineering achievement and it is amazing that Volkswagen chose to build this car instead of compete in F1 for a single season. However, its not my cup of tea IMHFO.

I actually always wonder the exact same thing but it doesn't bother me that much. I just find it funny to be honest. I personally love the veyron and think it's funny that people always talk about cornering and the track. Just about no one tracks their cars no matter what they are. How many Mclaren F1's do you think have ever seen a track. Maybe and I mean a big maybe 10% of them. This car wasn't about tracking. It was about top speed while still having creature comforts and not having a stripped interior. It's the best car in it's genre of ultra high speed exotics and that's what Bugatti has always stood for, building the best car in any category they could...

but...but...

nah it`s ok ,I won`t contradict anymore..

The Veyron equals the automotive Nirvana and anybody disapproving is ultimately wrong.
I,the rebel, would still prefer the Zonda F though

Don't get me wrong buddy the zonda F and the cirque(I think it's called that) are both absolutely astonishing also. AND Mr. Pagani is an aw2esome guy to meet I have heard also, they are almost our modern day equivalent to Ettore Bugatti...

The thing is, the people who purchase a Veyron already have a garage full of great sports cars. The situation where someone has just enough money to own an E-Class for a daily driver and a Veyron is very hypothetical and can be argued that while this person can technically afford the Veyron, he/she can't really afford it (contradictory and dumb sounding, I know...but I do you get what I'm trying to say?)

And yes, if I had just that exact amount to spend on cars, I'd much prefer a nice fleet than a single Veyron.
