Thanks, everyone...!
I don't yet know if I can disclose the location. While they're holding this 200MPH Extreme Event, they want to the keep the exact location a secret (although it was a pain in the ass to find even after I knew where it was!). Universal was invited down because we have a CCX, but customers who wanted the World Class Driving 200MPH experience paid - I believe - $5,000.
I jumped into our golf cart and rode all the way down to the section of cones where all of the cars were braking on the airfield. That shot of the CCX was taken at the exact moment that it was braking. How it looks is exactly how it feels, too! Didier Theys is an amazing driver, and was so gentle on the equipment. But he sure knows how to maintain control of the Koenigsegg under hard braking after hitting 217.
Speed Channel's Tanner Foust, host of Super Cars Exposed, was there with his crew, and they filmed what looked like an episode, as well as a commercial to advertise Super Cars Exposed. Bloomberg was also there.
Sorry to hear about the F430. The cars that WCD had there had high mileage and were driven hard all day - I guess a fire is inevitable in these situations. Didier is the nicest guy, and was a great addition to an already amazing event.

Wow, cool pics! Man, I'd really love to go to an event like this some day or at least have the Koenigsegg Tech's job! That pic of the 'Seggy on the top speed run is pretty crazy! Is the driver just getting on the brakes or is there so much downforce that nose of the car is pushed into the ground like that?

Looks like an awesome event, and one hell of a collection of cars.
I did the "regular" WCD event a few years ago. The only time I drove with Didier Theys was back to the hotel in the minivan because the F430 we were driving caught fire and burned to the ground. Nice guy.
