That would probably be against the philosophy of the company. I'm sure they would have already figured how to make every part cheaper and quicker but the fact that they choose do it this way, shows in the end result.
I truly don't see how. The quality would remain the same if properly done, the mechanical requirements for that kind of parts would be more than fulfilled and in actually much more complex parts could be made. Actually using the adequate manufacturing method, for more inglorious it may sound, to each part according to its role is in my opinion a sign of superior engineering, craftsmanship and management.
PS: That new front splitter looks really nice and was very well integrated into the overall design of the car, much better than the old front which always looked unfinished.
