True but how many new AMG models have V12's in them? Certainly not as much as they use to. Plus, its inevitable due to the upcoming European emissions standards which should go in effect in 2014 so an official statement from Merc wouldn't be necessary anyways.

Perhaps you should do more research on european emission standards.......
The new Euro 6 (EU 6) standards will take place in 2 years time and stipulates that all passenger cars must have an average of 130 grams per KM of CO2 emissions or less:
CO2 emission limits on new vehicles
So lets take the Mercedes Benz S65 AMG as an example; according to their website, the car produces 334 g/km of CO2. As in other words, it doesn't even come close to meeting EU 6 standards. Mercedes will either have to stop selling that model or stop making V12 engines altogether. It's pretty clear that V12's are much less fuel efficient and environmentally friendly.
And if Obama has his way, the new CAFE standards will DEFINITELY make sure V12 engines go the way of the dodo bird in the states too. Hope you understand now.....

He's a 24 year old SCC fanboy who gets his kicks from causing mayhem in Veyron, Gumpert, Koenigsegg and Pagani topics, cheered on by the SSC sales rep that runs SSC's youtube channel. He used to have a bunch of videos with a shitty Lotus Elise that he claimed was the fastest car in world. And yes he is a ****ing CLOWN!
