Getting in a refined supercar and in a glorified kit car is completely different.

I've ridden in a CGT and a Spyker Laviolette, and they are 2 very different worlds, impossible to explain, but you know it within minutes on the road. Nothing to do with performance figures, just the feeling of the car.

I know which I'd rather have.
You're talking about old, Colin Chapman Lotus. I do agree with you, the SSC is relatively speaking, a rickety pile of cobbled together parts and a borrowed motor.

If you cut, modify, change, fabricate anything enough, even a garbage truck, you can get it to go 270mph.

I for one would be afraid of it falling apart at 60mph let alone 270mph

+1. Zorro, did you find the Spyker to feel like a kit car? I've always liked the Laviolette and that's disappointing to hear.
