Sure OKC has drafted well, but if you're a top free agent looking to go to a team OKC is it because Durant has committed to staying there.
LeBron never got good players to come to him because he waffled on his commitment to the Cavs. Had he said, I'm not leaving, every free agent would have come his way.

Did someone with 3 post just say "you must be trolling"? Do you really think any of these players actually live in there cities outside of the season? Hell even Derek Jeter spends 90% of his free time in Flordia... If LBJ is still in Cleveland there would be other TOP NOTCH support players there... Why? because the quickest way for an AVG player to get paid is to play with a star and win a championship.

1. Lebron spends considerable time in the home he built in Akron. Last offseason Kevin Durant went and stayed with him for 4 days to work out together(4 days comment has nothing to be with the total time he spends there, just noting)
2."The quickest way for an AVG player to get paid is to play with a star and win a championship" I thought we established Lebron needed and desired to play with at least one other star instead of just a bunch of average players...Typical championship teams(majority)are not made up of one superstar and a bunch of "support players"
3. Lets get this series started I can't wait. I think ive spent enough time on this thread before game 1...

Perfect post Chris.
The next LBJ fan who I meet that has any appreciation and perspective about the history of the game and its truly legendary players will be the first LBJ fan with such perspective.
To put it in automotive terms, LBJ is a Lamborghini Aventador in a parking lot full of Porsches, McLarens and Ferrari's (Magic, Bird, Jordan, Kobe, etc). Sure he goes fast and looks flashy, but he hasn't won a single race, much less a major race or championship.

Rep whenever I get off my iPhone. Will be a good series as my two favorite teams are in the finals. Both with SO MUCH younger talent.

One of the dumbest posts I have read. Seriously. The only reason the Cavs had a chance at anything was with LBJ. The past 2 seasons the most dominating team in the NBA has been the heat with LeBron helping the heat to get to their second final in a row. Sure he has flaws as he sucks at the foul line but seriously? Hasn't one a single race? 3 MVP awards and 2 finals apperances. Lulz. Also, I like LeBron but I'm a Wade/Durant/McGrady fan boy. It's just stupid to say he hasn't "won" a "race"
B) Not won a championship
As a fellow LSU Fan, I can tell you hold the same "blind love" for your NBA teams as most in BR hold for their Tigers. Big reason why sometimes I'm ashamed to associate with sports fans in Louisiana.

We'll see if he ends up being a Karl Malone, I guess:
1986 Named to the NBA All-Rookie Team
1989 Named Most Valuable Player of the NBA All-Star game
1990 Scores a career-high sixty-one points in a game against the Milwaukee Bucks January 27
1992 Named to U.S. Olympic team
1993 Named co-Most Valuable Player (with John Stockton) of the NBA All-Star game
1996 Named to U.S. Olympic team
1996 Selected as one of the fifty greatest players in NBA history
1997 Named Most Valuable Player of the NBA
1997 Named Utahn of the Year by the Salt Lake Tribune
1998 IBM Award
1998 Henry B. Ida award for athletes who go out of their way to help others
1999 Most Valuable Player of the NBA
2000 Became only the third player in NBA history to score 30,000 points in his career
Named to the All-NBA First Team eleven times in a row, from 1988-89 through 1998-99, and to the All-Defensive First Team three times in a row, from 1996-97 through 1998-99.
Played in the NBA All-Star game twelve times, including ten consecutive appearances from 1991 to 2001.
Holds the NBA record for most consecutive seasons with over 2,000 points scored, with eleven from 1987-88 to 1997-98.
Played every game with another Hall-of-Famer.
Consecutive Finals appearances: 2
Championships? none.
In the historical discussion for "greatest player"? ? ?....

What part of "history" and "championships" do you not understand
LBJ has neither on his side at this point.Since you seem to lack the cognitive skills to be able to tell the difference between things with multiple championships over decades and one thing that has no championships, let me put this to you in even simpler terms. Until LBJ has multiple titles, he cannot be in the same discussion as Magic, Bird, Jordan, Kareem, Russell and Kobe as among the greatest of all time. If he were to retire today, he can be in the same discussion as Barkley, Malone, Nash, etc.
Barkley, Malone and Nash have essentially the same hardware as LBJ and no one talks about them being among the greatest of all time. The honor of being in that discussion belongs to a select few, all of which have won numerous titles and have been the primary driving force to their respective teams winning those titles.
"Stupid is as stupid does" Perhaps he should have waited until his career was over and let his career define if he deserves such a tatoo.

For me wanting OKC to win, its not about hating James. First of all, I think OKC is just plain better in so many ways.
I respect and can't deny the enormous talent that James has, but I love Kobe and the Lakers. As long as James does not win a ring, then it keeps him below Kobe in the big picture. I know James has more athletic skills and talent then Kobe, but he lacks a lot of what makes Kobe great. Kobe is probably not a good friend, husband or overall person, but I dont care. His intensity and drive to be the greatest is very admirable by his fans. I know its immature and silly to think that, but being a sports fan is usually emotional and irrational.
