Most teams with a solid fan base and tradition do that year in and year out without having to sign anyone. Heat fans are only showing up because they are good, perfect example was game 5 vs Boston!

 

Good one your highness. Lets see... I've been to several victory parades. One for the Heat, two for the marlins. The dolphins are a mess but I still went albeit when I was a kid in celebration of a perfect season and a super bowl trophy.

 

Partying for no reason - why not. It's Miami my friend. Different culture.


We are not that old of a franchise who has just gotten out of real growing pains a few years back when we signed Wade.


WHen I heard LeBrons speech I thought it was awful.
I do love his "Taking my talents down to south beach" line. I always tell people - "I'll be taking my talents down to ____ (the bar.. anything)

 

I'll buy someone in my area dinner if the Heat lose. As long as you can supply the alcohol at dinner.

 

The main problem I have is that LeBron pretty much epitomizes the entitled generation. I've got a couple of young employees like that who I'm struggling to teach how to WORK right now (you know, show up in the fourth quarter when the game is on the line). They feel like they're owed the world without having actually earned it yet. One of them told me "I don't feel like anyone respects me." I simply said to him "well, what have you done yet to earn that respect?". He had no answer - he just felt like he deserved it because he got a couple of things done.

Nothing that LeBron has done yet has earned my respect. Sure he puts up numbers and is incredibly big. I appreciate confidence and ambition, and hope to always foster it. But walking around like you're the greatest (without actually being the greatest) is going to get on most people's nerves. There are actually arrogant people and athletes that I like. He's just not one of them, for the reasons listed and more.

With my employees I'll absolutely give them props when they get it done, but until they get it done... NO FULL BACK TATTOOS PROCLAIMING YOURSELF THE SECOND COMING!

 

You ever heard of trash talking before? This is what naturally happens before major sporting events between men of differing opinions. What fun is it if everyone holds hands and buys the world a Coke? (or Sprite, for the Chosen 1)

Three of us here in DC are best of friends but bitter rivals in sports. Somehow we go on living.
