Agreed about Bale and Giggs... esp. seeing as Bale has had a couple of consistently good seasons as a winger now. United needs to buy a top-name superstar. Bottom line, end of story. It puts butts in seats, draws in other players, etc.

now about Chelsea and RDM, i think if RDM WANTS the job, then Abramovich will be a complete prick and the biggest douche if he does not give it to him. at least give him one yr to have a crack at the EPL!
drogba, imho, should leave for his own good. he would leave and be remembered as a god at chelsea. no more drama, no more ups and downs.
however, still, if he expresses that he WANTS to STAY at chelsea, then Abramovich better pay the man what he demands because he sure as hell deserved it and even if he doesn't score ever again, what he did was ENOUGH to buy him a psuedo retirement for the next 2yrs imo

My thoughts on what will happen over the summer transfer period:
Dependent on this evenings' result, a win to me means that Di Matteo deserves to be made permanent in his current position. If Chelsea lose, I think Capello will be the right man for the job.
I think Arsenal will struggle to hold onto RVP, I don't think RVP would go to another Premier Leauge side out of respect to Arsenal but I do think he would move to Barca or RM.
City will probably watch the Euros closely and buy whoever plays the best in the tournament, just because they can...
I can see United buying Bale, he'd be an identical replacement for Giggs and I believe would fit in really well at United.
As a Liverpool supporter, I just don't know what will happen this summer. I'm intrigued to see who FSG are going to bring into the club on a management basis and would LOVE for Rafa to come back. FSG have always said their aim is Champions League football and Rafa would definitely be the right man for the job, IMO.

Congratulations to Chelsea on their win last night, that's pretty tough to say from LFC supporter...
I'm confident that Drogba will be offered an extension on his contract, he deserves it.
