LOL.
There's so much hype at the moment, but one loss, especially a big one, and everyone will back track and say his weaknesses were exposed, etc. That might be true, and maybe the magic will run out at some point, but I'm enjoying the hype to be honest, it adds an exciting story line to the season.
In any past season I would never cared one bit about the Bronco's, but now when they are on TV I'm excited to watch.

give me a break, just because he doesnt throw for 375 yards a game and 4 TDs doesnt mean he sucks. He has taken a mediocre Broncos team 1-4 without him to 8-5 with him, blame mediocre teams that he has beaten, etc etc etc which is BS.
At the end of the game he has done what a QB is suppose to do, keep cool and make EVERYONE around him better with his attitude and leadship and of course WIN

BTW, I would hardly give Tebow credit for the Bears win. Rather, it was Denver's kicker and its defense who caused two errors by the Bears in the final minutes of the game. What did Tebow do? He got Denver down to the Bears 41 yard line? Yeah, that's amazing. . .

As a Denver resident and lifelong Bronco fan, I feel like I need to bring our perspective into the conversation. I had a gut feeling we were going to take Tebow in the 2010 draft and I hated the thought of it. When we did actually take him I was pissed to say the least, I hated the move and thought the team had more pressing needs than a "project" QB.
The fact of the matter is, this organization has wallowed in mediocrity for the past decade. We suffered through terrible defense after terrible defense, we suffered through the disaster that was Josh McDaniels, we suffered through a 4-12 record last year. We were predicted to win 3 or 4 games this year. There was talk about getting the number one draft pick and being able to select Andrew Luck. Many power rankings had us dead last in the NFL. We started off 1-4 and we had to agree that we were going to have to endure another agonizing year. And then came Tebow. And here we sit, alone at the top of our division, 8-5 and talking about the playoffs. It has been the most excitement this organization has generated since the back to back Super Bowls in 97-98. Can you really blame us for going all in on the guy? No doubt Von Miller and the rest of the defense deserves a ton of credit but where were they the the first 5 games of the season? The whole situation is beyond comprehension, but one thing we do know is that Tebow is the only difference between 1-4 and 7-1. Coincidence? Maybe, but not in my opinion.
Will it last? I still have my doubts but I do know one thing. If there is one guy that can and will silence all of his critics it is Tim. He did not have the luxury of a real off season this year, he had a brand new staff and until 8 weeks ago has had virtually zero 1st string reps. He has an amazing resource in John Elway that has already said he is going to work with Tebow in the off-season. He will have a full off-season to work with the staff and he will have the confidence that he will be the 2012 starter. Like I said, I am still skeptical, but he is the last guy I would bet against.
End rant, lol.

He was 18-of-24 passes for 191 yards and a touchdown in the 4th quarter and OT...

Very well said, but i do not think people take issue with anyone in the city of Denver... Rooting for your Qb or anyone on your team is a right of passage no matter how good, bad, they are. I take issue with the knuckleheads like skip bay less (who i usually enjoy) claiming he is a top 10 QB in the league....
Winning is over-rated for QB's in my opinion. A great example who would Trent Dilfer and Rex Grossman. Both played with the two best Defenses in the last 20 years. Both made it to the Super Bowl and both are downright BAD QB's. Yet Rex gets shunned and Trent is a Super Bowl winning QB... We all know Trent did little to nothing to get that team into the playoffs. Football is a team sport and I think it is hilarious we give QB's so much credit as well as so much blame.

i give him more credit than ever for all the victories he has produced. however, if i were building a championship franchise, he'd be my second string fullback. did you see elway almost pull his hair out when they kicked the game winning field goal. this little experiment has royally backfired and now they are stuck until he ultimately fails.

Steve Young chimes in:
Steve Young to Brian Urlacher: ‘You got Tebowed, just take it like a man!’
After seeing his Chicago Bears lose in overtime to the Denver Broncos and become the latest in an ever-expanding line of points in a line in Tim Tebow's winning narrative, linebacker Brian Urlacher made with the backhanded compliments when asked about how it was that Tebow helped to beat them with key plays late in the game.
"He's a good running back," Urlacher said. "He does a good job for them. They have a good offense with him back there. They do some different plays. I thought we did a good job overall."
Sour grapes? Perhaps. In truth, Tebow threw 40 passes against the Bears, and while his performance won't make anyone forget Aaron Rodgers, he is improving enough as a quarterback to at least earn some positional respect from vanquished opponents.
Tebow was unwilling to take the bait. When asked after the game about Urlacher's classification of him, the quarterback made it simple. "Coming from a really good player, that means a lot."
Mm-hmm.
However, Hall of Fame quarterback Steve Young was not so forgiving. Asked about Urlacher's slam, the current ESPN analyst had a few more things to say.
"I thought it was so cheap of Brian Urlacher to [talk about] how he lost to a running back," Young said. "To me … he did it to you. He Tebowed you. Just take it like a man and walk away. You lost your shot."
Young then talked about the Broncos-Patriots matchup this upcoming Sunday that will be televised in an estimated 5,000 percent of American homes.
"Next up, Patriots — and I can tell you, the NFL royalty now coming into this fray — Bill Belichick and Tom Brady — I'm sure they're saying to themselves, 'No way are we going to be part of this story. No way.'"
Well, we shall see. The Patriots currently rank 26th in Football Outsiders' opponent-adjusted pass defense metrics, and that would seem to be a decent match for Tebow's 27th-ranked per-play metric among qualifying quarterbacks. That said … well, we know that stuff tends to happen to Mr. Tebow that we find difficult to explain.
Never known for providing bulletin board material, Brady was very complimentary of Tebow and his team this week.
"Everyone says he struggles throwing the ball," Brady said in his weekly appearance on Boston radio station WEEI. "What I saw [on Sunday], he had no problems throwing the ball. He threw the ball extremely well when I was watching.
"It was an exciting game. They obviously have a very good team. They play for 60 minutes. They've obviously closed a lot of games and finished very well. We have a huge test. We'll all be excited, and hopefully have a good week of preparation and be ready to go on Sunday."
It should be an interesting matchup. Tebow has not yet been in a situation where he's been asked to play constant catch-up with an offense as explosive as New England's, so this could be a new challenge for him. If he can keep pace with Brady, and the Broncos can take advantage of New England's leaky defense, Tebowmania will hit an entirely new level … one that even Brian Urlacher might have to recognize.
