I hope the owners win. Players don't play and this spearheads a tumble of all professional sport salaries. That could be a win win win for all but the players.

 

You know you're league is awful when sub .500 teams are making the playoffs...

Fancy accounting is absolutely correct. Most pro sports team owners are also owners of other large businesses like cable networks. They all move the money around on the books and claim their team is losing money. It helps them raise ticket prices, negotiate contracts, etc. Don't forget that the owners buy teams as an investment. Most of them are businessmen first and care about winning second. If they were all losing money then people wouldn't buy in.

I wouldn't have minded no basketball last night. That was the most pathetic dunk contest I can remember. The 2 ball dunk was impressive, but overall quite a letdown.
