the epl is done so professionally, such a treat to watch including the before/after studios and analysis. very entertaining.
serie a this season is great, i am glad they are getting their competition back up so much. however i will say that still the broadcasting is not near the epl's and it does affect viewing pleasure if you're not a die hard fan

Italy is for sure well represented this year and has built itself back up very well after all the scandal, and you can always count on Barca and Madrid to be around, but...
Except '09-10, since 2004 there's been an English team featured in the final every year. (Probably not this year though...)
In '06-07, '07-08 and '08-09, 3 of the final 4 were EPL, and '08 was all EPL final.
And in '09-10 when Inter won, they were the only Italian team even in the Quarters - as they were last year. You'll consistently see at least 2, but more often 3 or even 4 teams from the EPL in at least the quarters.
And like boursachi mentioned above, in the EPL you can always count on Man U. losing to a bottom 2 or 3 team... now that's excitement!
Not only is the top to (almost) bottom competition legit, it's packaged so well to appeal to a maximum amount of people. This year the Manchester Brothers are trying to pull a Barca/Madrid, but that's definitely the exception.

^Agreed about the previous success of the EPL, but it runs in cycles.
they will be back up there soon enough, as of now things are pretty grim on the European level.
When it comes to top teams loosing to bottom teams, well that is also true for the Serie A.. the 10 point gap from 1-5 is a proof of that, as there are more average and below average teams in any given league vs the top teams. Look at inter still a top team and probably the best team in the world 09/10, today won their first game in over a month. Loosing to all kinds of minnows.
PS
Let me just add that the La liga is pathetic imo, the lower teams when faced with barca and real often field the B team as they are certain of lost, so they want to give their top players some rest and hope to pick up points against the other lesser teams.
Hence the 30p gap from 1-5, heck its 24p between no 1 placed real and 3rd placed Valencia..

I could post that score but it would be too easy. I'll just silently note that Chris is back and trolling and go on like nothing has happened
I wouldn't go as far as to say that arenas in EPL are in the same league as Bundesliga, the broadcasts however are just as good. Outside of Germany EPL broadcasts are even vastly superior imo.
The thing about Serie A is it's really boring. Even if the league looks exciting on paper, the matches are usually not very fun to watch. First of all, arena's are mostly half empty. Second, they don't score as any goals as in Bundesliga or EPL.
I also agree with the rest that La Liga is a joke.
