as a "neutral" for winning the league, i think this sets up the city utd game perfectly.
it will not be as dull and tactically closed as yesterday's classico, so i am looking forward to next week's manchester derby/title decider

 

So while the Manchesters are fighting it out at the top, the race for Champions qualification is very interesting still.

I think things should be OK for us. Tottenham continues to suck, Cheslea couldn't beat us so aren't a threat to 3rd, and Newcastle has probably the most difficult schedule left to play:

Wed 2 May Chelsea v Newcastle 19:45
Sun 6 May Newcastle v Man City 13:30
Sun 13 May Everton v Newcastle 15:00

Where we have Stoke, Norwich and WestBrom. Not pushovers, but a lot easier than Chelsea, Everton and City.

If Chelsea can beat Newcastle, they have a really good chance of pulling back into 4th. Chelsea has a tougher run on paper than Tot, but are playing much better overall (who isn't?).

And there's no way that Newcastle will beat Chelsea AND City, so Chelsea's gotta win out, and we basically just need to not blow it.

 

i think DM is playing for 4th, forsaking the charge for 3rd in favour of reaching the CL final. his line up and tactics at the emirates were screaming "1 pt. not 3. not 0. move on to tuesday".
i had no idea Newcastle had such a tough series of games coming up, wow.. i am a bit torn because i studied there and L O V E the team and city .. and Shearer .. but i guess the europa league isn't too bad for them to get back into!!

arsenal to me are set for qualification for CL next season, and tbh it would be a DISASTER if they slipped into 4th

 

I think Giggs called it in January that the upcoming Manchester Derby would decide the league. Looks like he'll be right.
