Finally Chelsea Won
in regards to AVB he should be sacked , one of the worst seasons ever
such a shame for a great team

When you look at the talent that are probably past their best it's a pretty big job for any manager to restructure.
Luka Modric perhaps?

there are talks of buying hulk from porto
someone had to rebuild the squad, who would be your choice?

true avb is rebuilding BUT this does not excuse the perfomances esp in the 1-1 draws.. perhaps lamps should get a starting position for a month or so and see what that does
as for sacking avb
carletto went to psg
hiddink i dont think will come back
jose is still at rm
so avb is good enough
the club IS WITHOUT DOUBT a huge leap for him and he needs to understand what he got himself into with the fans even if the owner is giving him his blessings
all in all i would not call this half of season a disaster, rather a disappointment

It's not a disaster, but it could be if we dont make the CL. I definately want to give AVB some time, but he has to start showing me something more. I get that he maybe doesnt have the players to play his style of football, but sometimes I question his tactical decisions during the game.
It's going to be interesting over the next year or so when two of the biggest managers in the world potentially become available. Mourinho has stated his desire to return to England, and Guardiola is staling again to sign a new 1 year deal with Barca. Some say he is biding his time until Sir Alex retires, but I've heard that about Mourinho too.
I wonder who Man U would choose if both were available.
Can you imagine if Mourinho, Guardiola and AVB were all going at it in the Premiere League.

Having Mourinho back in the EPL will definitely be great. Pep on the other hand I'm not so sure. You see Pep is from the area and has been with the club since he was a child. So Pep really knows what makes the club tick and that coupled with his tactical prowess and his way of motivating players and getting the best out of them makes him the perfect man for Barca at any other club he would have less of an advantage than he has at Barca. I think he'll eventually sign his one year contract as soon as he gets what he wants. The one year contract is obviously a bargaining chip if Rossel looses Guardiola he wont be re-elected the man is worshiped in the region

^ No doubt, but all these guys like a challenge, I wouldnt be suprised to see Pep leave in the next few years.
In my mind Pep actually needs to move to solidify himself as one of the great coaches of his time. Your post speaks exactly to my point, he currently has all the benefits of Barca helping him to achieve all these trophies and accolades.
To me, Mourinho is much more proven (maybe not as exciting), but he's a proven winner no matter where he goes.

Agreed Jose is proven on several stages and it is still early for Pep and he will only be a great manager once he leaves Barcelona and proves him self in a different league. The cule in me doesn't want to think of that day. I've been to his first match in charge against Wisla Krakao (sp) in the ECL qualifiers back in Aug 08 and I have been to a few since and I hope to be there for his last match in charge but not for a long long time.

SWEET! I'm sure Utd. will probably crush in the second 1/2, but I'm hoping Newcastle can hang on.
Mostly because I forgot to change my Fantasy team this week, and I have Newcastle's keeper
I'm not following the game except for the score on my phone, but I'm sure he's getting a lot of saves!
