Manchester United are no longer interested in signing Wesley Sneijder | Football | The Guardian
Fab and Nasri gone
But looks like we're moving for Mata, Mathieu Valbuena and Eden Hazard, and maybe a couple of others. I could dig that. £60mil to blow!

I could dig that. £60mil to blow!in the fabre/nasri cases, i think it's different because those players deserve to have a chance at winning trophies and be driven by competition just as money. of course i understand this is professional football and in the end, for them, it's a job. but if you aren't really struggling (not by a long shot), then shouldn't the SPORT (the job itself) be enough?

i believe in kenny's ability to motivate, but the league demands money as well for an as-good-as-starting-eleven-bench

The problem is that you get all these new school owners who think you can just throw together a fantasy team - it's epidemic in US sports. And the players buy into that. If guys stick around and build a team, I think the wins are much more satisfying.
That being said, I don't blame Nasri - although I think he's jumping a bit quick. He played GREAT last year, only to watch the bumbling defense throw away 1/2 his effort in one foul play after another. Also it doesn't hurt he'll probably be pocketing nearly £200,000 a week...
As far as Cesc, he seems to have been struggling a lot with injury - I'm definitely for taking the money and running on that one. I think Barca is getting the short end for the money, although historically he's been one of my favorites.
I seriously can't wait until Saturday.

none whatsoever! i hated liverpool as much as barcelona during the Benitez days. the damage is still not all undone, with a lot of modern history between them and chelsea.

King Kenny will come good, it doesn't matter who can start in those certain teams he's obviously seeing other traits and qualities that will make them work together well. I do agree that as a Liverpool fan I don't get why we are buying this overrated British talent but with some creative players like suarez and now I believe aquilani is staying we could be in for something top 4 at least. The defense is what scared me big big time but Enrique is qualllitttyy and if we get a good CB like Gary Cahill and Agger healthy Liverpool could challenge

tevez = saving you from relegation
or securing a premier league title
or promotion to champions league qualification
he is EXACTLY what arsenal need: more muscle in mf, commitment (arshavin?) and DRIVE to kick manutd/mancity in the balls
