For you ManU fans, Fox Soccer Channel will broadcast the FanZone for the 8-2 thrashing on 9/3 at 0330 (that's 3:30 am EDT for you non-mil folks). You know I've got it on the DVR!

I would love nothing more than to listen to a Man U fan's commentary on that game 3 1/2 hrs after ringing in my bday!

My thoughts on the game:

I expected a dominant game (6-0 truthfully) but never expected what we saw. Arsenal's line up and bench were as weak as I will ever see them in my lifetime and I really do think Wenger did his best with the squad he had. It's a shame for Arsenal and their fans that the personnel he put out on the pitch played not only poorly but without much desire to win, except for RVP and Ramsay.

Really a shame to lose Welbeck, reports have him out for a month.

Alex, i agree that RVP had heart but he was absolute rubbish for arsenal in that game
the skill of his volley that went in was great, but otherwise he was extremely wasteful

Mertesacker (all 6'6" of him) and Santos headed to Arsenal... Now onto the midfield. Malouda? Benayoun? Alex? Why not, Chelsea has been taking our sloppy seconds for years!

^ i would NOT send Malouda your way he still has a couple more years to give us. you can have Benayoun, but Liverpool can definitely have him + cash first for Meireles

Mertesacker is a huge plus for Arsenal, changes the whole defense line altogether if he's fit to start right away

Chris, I was trying to call you earlier to try and meet up this evening to return your movie... wife's out for the evening and I'm meeting my brother for dinner around 7-7:30. Give me a call if you're around, and I can run over your way.

Also - why'd we have to lose so big right before a long break? Now we've got 2 weeks to rub it in! Our next game is against Swansea. If we lose that, we may as well hang up the hat. I'm a bit excited about a couple of the people we're chasing, but Wenger has mere hours to get something done...
