I haven't read that it's confirmed yet, still just a rumour afaik. I have also started hearing strong rumours that Arsenal is buying Yann M'Vila from Rennes for around 17m£ which would be awesome.

he is my only hope for England making it out of the groups at Euro 2012.
drogba DESERVES to stay i think BUT he is soooooooo influential not just in the dressing room but he dictates how the team should play. basically the 4-5-1 that we are sporting is designed for him AND is why we aren't seeing the Torres of liverpool. btw how about that shot from nando that hit the post?
LOVE it and it is enough for me to know he has it in him than to drop 3pts and wave byebye to 4th placeterry? yes he plays through the pain and what not but fvck him he just cannot keep his cool like Ashley in the big BIG BIG games
Lampard i think CAN AND WILL BE our Ryan Giggs .. i honestly believe he should stay and have always advocated in his favour
so, drogba CAN leave to china if he wants and terry should fak off to wherever he wants (not gonna happen of course) but lamps and ashley HAVE to stay given how they played this season .. i think they will prove me right w England because the utd players only play for utd

-
Chris, if we get Cahill and Luiz in defense + with Cole, and unfortunately i AM saying this Bosingwa then Bayern will have a true final on their hands.
those being our back 4, lamps + mikel + mata, and please god please let France-Malouda play + Drogba AND TORRES up front, and we will nick it. okay i know he's not gonna play drogs and nando and will opt for kalou but, whatever, he SHOULD!
if we don't get cahill/luiz then i'm sorry but Bayern have nothing to be proud of playing versus a 3rd team

my brother always describes it best when he says "depeneds which chelsea show up", and my god have they shown up in the CL this season:
Valencia, Napoli, Benfica, Barcelona, and now Bayern playing 3rd row? cut me some slack

I think if you split them up, then we have a chance, but keeping Lamps, Terry and Drogba together is a bad move.
If we can field Cahill, Luiz, Cole, and Bosingwa in defense, then we have a chance.
One thing that I think we have going for us is that we will be up for this game, maybe more than any other game in recent history. We got so close before, and for some of the older players, this could be their last chance.
Lampard and Drogba really need to relay all of their excitement, desire (whatever it is) and get the whole team firing on all cylinders that night.

I read that City was showing Hazard real estate near Manchester... We should have laid it out for him when we had the chance. He definitely "likes" Arsenal.
And I think M'Vila is quite likely to be a gunner next year.

^ Looks like it's pretty much done:
Yann M'Vila transfer to Arsenal 'agreed'
Arsenal have agreed a fee for Rennes star Yann M'Vila, with a deal set to be concluded at the end of the season, according to reports in France.
As Metro revealed last month, the Gunners have made signing a natural defensive midfielder a key priority for the summer, despite Alex Song's excellent form.
And it seems after scouring the market, manager Arsene Wenger has settled on securing long-term favourite M'Vila.
Anderlecht's Lucas Biglia and Tromso's Kara Mbodj were also under consideration, but Wenger is looking for a player ready to go straight into the first-team, and M'Vila fits the bill, having already established himself as one of the most consistent performers in Ligue 1, while also racking up 18 caps for France in the process.
The 21-year-old, who also has strong interest from Inter Milan, told Rennes of his desire to quit the club earlier this season, and according to reports in France, Arsenal have agreed terms on a £17 million transfer, with the details set to be concluded in the summer.
The news brings to an end Wenger's 12-month chase for M'Vila, with tentative enquiries being held last August, before Rennes pulled the plug, and the Gunners were forced to look elsewhere.
Wenger wants no repeat of long, drawn out transfer sagas like that this summer, and has already swooped for German forward Lukas Podolski, securing him from Cologne for £10.9 million, with M'Vila set to follow in another swiftly negotiated deal.
The French enforcer's impending arrival will cast fresh doubt over the future of Alex Song, but with talks over a new contract progressing, Metro understands M'Vila is seen as a compliment to the Cameroonian, rather than a replacement.
French daily Le Parisien report that M'Vila will sign a four-year-deal with wages of around £60,000-a-week this summer, and with a fee of £17 million, he would be Arsenal's record signing, eclipsing the £15 million paid to Zenit Saint Petersburg for Andrey Arshavin in 2009.

I definitely hope he will be complementing Alex Song and not replacing. Song has become an exceptional passer/assister. He's been responsible for most of our important goals this season in one way or another and in doing so he's become one of my favorite players.
His ability to cut through the crowd both with the ball and passing it is truly world class.

Rooney and Van Persie

Manchester United are lining up a sensational move for 28-year-old Van Persie, who has just one year remaining on his contract, as Sir Alex Ferguson attempts to compete with big-spending Manchester City in the transfer market.

Ferguson is also preparing to make a £10m bid for Everton's 27-year-old left-back Leighton Baines.
