A Rod and Cano gave balls constantly. Swish laughed and joked with fans a bit.

Some guy was trying to talk to Gardener but he wasn't having it. He turned around and gave a dirty look so the fan started screaming "Who do you think you are? You fvcking rookie. You only make 400k a year you fvcking loser."

Actually felt bad for the abuse he had to sit and listen to.

^ That is exactly why they should all just focus on the game.

A player like A-Rod isn't going to be told what to do.

But Gardner - he might take some real crap from teammates or coaches if he interacted with fans.

Vlad Guerrero would never acknowledge us either. But he loved the fans.

It has always been that way ever since I can remember.

I agree. I understand kids looking for balls and autographs, but when I see people over the age of 16 killing themselves for autographs, etc. it kind of makes me sick.

I guess it's time to keep Sportscenter on all day to try and see this live.

Pretty exciting to see players reach these milestones.

3,000 hits will be accomplished less and less in this day of shorter careers and free agency.

New York Yankees' Derek Jeter doubles to move within three hits of 3,000 - ESPN New York

Is there any doubt who should be the starting pitcher for the AL in the All-Star game???

Weaver pitches another complete game (4) and lowers his ERA to a league-best 1.82! He now is 11-4 and has 4 no-decisions in which he only gave up 5 runs total.

If they will show it. After all, they were reporting a report of Deron Williams playing in Turkey for the whole morning...

^ I am sure they will break into whatever they are showing when Jeter gets within 1 hit.

No doubt. Such an amazing milestone. Disappointing during all of this, Jim Thome almost at 600 HR's gets swept under the rug somewhat.
