Yup. I think part of their game plan was to keep Wade and Lebron out of the paint and make them prove they can be jump shooters. Keeping them out of the paint also forces the Heat bench to step up.

Despite Dirk's recent willingness to bang more with the bigs, he doesn't look like he's really wants to play like a big.

Unrelated to that: Dirk is a great player, I'm not saying he's not, but he didn't look like he did in the past 2 series (his stats don't show it, though). The hot-streak that a lot of you have been denying looks like it's cooling off.

The Mavs need much more than 17 bench points to stay competitive in this series..

More offense. They need to score more points than the Heat, not try to keep the Heat from scoring. The Bulls have the best defense in the league and even they couldn't contain the Heat enough to win.

The Mavs need to play to their strength(s) instead of trying to create weaknesses.

This too.

I haven't followed their bench scoring much this post season but I'm sure they've been getting 25+ or close everynight.

The problem is that they don't have two way players like the Heat. If they put more scorers they give some defense.

Did you see how wade scored all over Terry?

The heat on the other hand have great scorers who can also defend.

Its tough to see how he mavs comeback into this series.

Yep, I completely agree. The Mavs probably can't do what they need to do to win.

I really can't think of a way they can beat the heat other than simply out scoring them. Obviously out scoring them is a long shot unless Terry or someone else gets really hot (in addition to Dirk being Dirk).

Here is what I dont get, there is no I in team, its not I won 6 rings.. more a team won 6 rings. One single player can not hold the claim that they have 6 rings, its a team sport. Am I wrong? SO why cant Lebron, Kobe be as great as MJ. Just to be held in the same category as MJ should be enough.

Your right supporting cast does matter.

Sports history is full of great players that were never lucky enough to have the supporting cast needed to win multiple championships. This is a constant topic of debate among all sports fans. Was Wilt better than Russell or Jabbar? Was the Big O better than Magic? Could Elgin Baylor have been MJ before there was MJ if he had a better supporting cast?

This is always a popular debate among football fans as well. Was Elway better than Montana? (No f-en way!!!! ) Emmett better than Payton or Sanders? Everyone knows Jerry Rice is the greatest football player that ever laced em up so no sense in debating that

IMHO, the bottom line is that in a galaxy of stars, championships are what makes some shine brighter than others.
